#22 Learning A New Language

Latin: Beginner's Latin

Learning is in progress...slowly...
So my first chapter of Latin is about "verb".

Conjugation of Verb
confirmareto confirm
dareto give
edificareto build
laborareto work
legareto leave, bequeathGlossary - opens in a new window
orareto pray
vocareto call

What can we see is all verb end with "-are".
Remove "-are" and add these endings to represent who is doing.
-oI
-asyou
-athe/she/it
-amuswe
-atisyou
-antthey

Take an example-- dare (to give)
Remove "-are" and add "-o" and it'll become  do (I give).
laboroI work
legasyou bequeath
edificathe/she/it builds
oramuswe pray
vocatisyou call
legantthey bequeath

This is how verb in Latin tells you about who is doing the action and how many person are doing the verb.
